"I Asked God"

Dear friends, Sometimes when we pray, we may question if God is listening, if He cares, if He will answer. He is, He does, He will. Sometimes, He doesn't give us the answer we hoped for or expected. He loves us so much that He gives us what we need.

I asked God for strength.

He gave me difficulties to struggle through with Him.

I asked God for wisdom.

He gave me problems to solve with Him.

I asked God for courage.

He gave me dangers to overcome with Him.

I asked God for faith.

He gave me questions answered by His character.

I asked God for compassion.

He gave me troubled people to help as He helped me.

I asked God for healing.

He gave me pain that brought the real issues to the surface to face with Him.

I asked God for love.

He gave me Himself.

I didn’t think He gave me what I asked for.

He gave me what I truly needed and more.

And He held me close every step of the way.

He sees us.

He hears us.

He understands us.

He loves us with an everlasting, unstoppable, redeeming, overcoming, transforming, soul-healing, fear-defeating, truth-telling, emptiness-quenching, life-giving, death-defying love.

What are you asking for?

The answer is Him.
